I just recently finished musing on "stuff" -- all those things we buy, use and display around our home -- and how to me, it's all starting to look like things we don't need, and here I am putting together a gallery of "stuff"! But the stuff I'm showing today is something more than just space filler: Knickknacks. Knickknacks are seemingly useless objects of a decorative nature, that nevertheless hold a special place in people's hearts.
I don't know why we aggregate these things on our shelves, side tables, fridges and even toilet tanks, but I do know that many, many, many of us do it, and what's more, shamelessly offer them up for public display, like in this photo gallery below.
We thought it would be fun to see what kind of chintzy uselessness people are harboring, and gathered a few telling snaps from our colleagues to start the ball rolling. (There's a crystal likeness of Jon Gosselin that's had our whole office heady with the ridiculousness of it! You have to see it.) You know though, that we're really looking for are photos of YOUR favourite knickknacks, right? You know you want to show us your knickknacks! Send us an email to stylesheet(@)hgtv.ca with your photo or join our flickr group and upload a photo there.
You need to upgrade your Flash Player to 9 or greater
Got a knickknack that's the apple of your eye? Send it along (in jpg format) to stylesheetAThgtvDOTca.
