Did you watch it? We did! With the man himself in our midst. Mike and his power crew – the team, friends and family including Mike Junior and daughter Sherry – all gathered at Toronto’s Hard Rock Cafe for the premier of the anticipated Holmes Inspection.
“I was really freakin’ nervous today, can I say that?” was the starter of Mike’s speech, and I could have sworn the executive producer even choked up a little.
I got in Mike’s face with a camera of course, and when I asked him what he thought of the first episode he looked at me with the same disappointment he greets an unexpected patch of mold, and said, “I was there, remember?” Of course, what I meant to ask him was if he was excited about it, but it came out all wrong… I was excited! Or, I had one to many “Inspectors” -- a vodka + pomegranate + cranberry + soda + lime, with a screw driver in it. Could also explain why I kept mistaking the back of Bill Bell’s (“Uncle Billy’s”) head for Mike’s.
