Shop Review: Biltmore Domicile, Montreal

When you buy a big item for your house, you wish to feel great about your purchase during and after your purchase. You will save money in the long run if you buy a sofa that is well made with a beautiful lasting design.

This is what you find at Biltmore Domicile, a store that manufactures their sofas in Montreal. Biltmore offers more varieties and options, they can tailor the sofa to your preferences and adjust the dimensions to fit your space. Your custom sofa can be ready in four weeks and you can even show up with your own design idea and they will work with you to make it a reality.

Visiting their showroom store located on Saint-Laurent Street is inspiring. With 1000 fabrics in their library, don't be afraid to mix and match fabric for the frame, the cushions and even the back. You can opt for contrasting colored cushions, contrasting patterns or simply play with neutrals and textures. I enjoy the yellow and sage mix. The fabrics of their tailored sofas can be held in place with velcro for easily replacement.

Biltmore Domicile also carries coffee tables, cushioned headboards, dining tables, chairs, rugs and home accessories. Biltmore Domicile also operates a store in Toronto on Sherbourne Street.

See bottom of this post for more photos of the shop.

Nice job Kim, Great example of MicroMarkerting and social media. The client/designer driving style and customization of products. Products tailored to the client with a short turnaround. Very cool.

The Wave of the future. Smaller producers building products tailored to the clients contacted through micromarketing/social media with a relatively short lead time. How much better to make products to order than mass production, mass distribution.  Cudos
